Our View: ECSU, city cooperation good for both parties

City leaders understand the type of effort it took to become a Coast Guard City USA. It took lots of hard work, reaching out, teamwork, persistence, and still more persistence. It paid off this year, and today we proudly are among fewer than two dozen cities across the country with the designation — a status sure to benefit our city and the Coast Guard.

College

They all should be apart of this but ECSU is simply taking the lead. Also it is critical to get the university involved locally.

Why is the focus on the city and Elizabeth City State University? The College of The Albemarle and, Mid-Atlantic Christian University are also located in Elizabeth City, NC.
